Formally, until August 2007, we had 69 Protection Areas Municipal created kept under the slogan of spaces both for the continuity of ecological processes in river, flow and water quality, landscape, vegetation, conservation of flora and fauna, among others ... now this number has increased leaving the impression that is occurring more concern for the protection of areas that allow, without doubt, improved the quality of life for residents, providing both environmental goods and services for them.
Also, this amount of protected areas are an important factor in environmental education, as each of these represents a bridge in the training facilitator an awareness that directly consider our environment and interacting with oneself. Perhaps this is one of the best contributions MPAs have are as small schools where you see specifically what is a protected area and what it does, what kind of brings benefits in our communities, what kind of ecological processes exist and what are its implications, in order ... results which are not always tangible when we turn to only one book or pamphlet.
Whereas definitely not all have the resources to travel up to ANP, MPAs are a very good choice for sensitizing the population on conservation.
